real page rank?

I bought an expired domain from someone who says it sa page rank 6 and the toolbar and research sites say its a PR 6 but I heard people can redirect a domain to a pr 6 and it will show that ranking instead of its real ranking and id never know until Google re does their page rank. Is there a real way to tell what the page rank is???

I recently bought yogaclubs.com it had a PR6 but now its gone!

The easiest way to see if it was redirected is to check google's cache of the Site

Eg : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search

(Searching for www.namepros.com)

and then you may see :

Quote:

Google can show you the following information for this URL:

Show Google's cache of www.namepros.com
Find web pages that are similar to www.namepros.com
Find web pages that link to www.namepros.com
Find web pages from the site www.namepros.com
Find web pages that contain the term "www.namepros.com"

By clicking on the cache or other links there - you can see where it was really Redirected - Alexa can also show you past info on the domain/site sometimes as well -
