Please help a newbie....

I want to transfer 1 of my .co.uk domains from 1and1 to 123-Reg.

Are these the correct steps to take...

1. Cancel 1and1 contract and select 'change domain provider'.

2. Select the new provider tag

3. Once the tag has been changed, login in to new provider and initiate the incoming of the new domain

It's just all the support help on the site speaks as if you are transfering a domain from another person, where as I already own the domains.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-newbies/115060-please-help-a-newbie.html

Im just not sure cos when i once transfered a domain from 123Reg to 1and1, it took a few hours, but changing from 1and1 to 123Reg involves sending off a letter or fax, and loads of other fuss!

Thanks in advance.
