Query about domain name?

Hi
I am registering a domain name on here. I want to ask you that when you register a domain at namepros.com do you type www.yourdomain.com to check availability or do you just type in yourname.com and check the avaiablity. if so whats the difference. Can anyone please offer quick help?
Thank you

Juste type yourdomain.com to query if domain is available.

yourdomain.com is a domain name but www.yourdomain.com is a website address if you want to do a difference. If you "own" yourdomain.com you could do any-word-you-want.yourdomain.com

David.
