what exactly is a registrar? at first i thought people wer emaking mistakes spelling register but now im convinced that they arent. What exactly is a registrar?

A registrar is a place for you to register domains. It's not a typo, it's just the correct name for the place whose job it is to do the registering of domain names.

Registrar

1. One who is in charge of official records.
2. An officer in a college or university who keeps the records of enrollment and academic standing.
3. An officer of a corporation responsible for maintaining records of ownership of its securities.
4. An admitting officer in a hospital.
