Reciprocal Links

Does anybody maintain reciprocal link pages for sites that they are developing?

How about using ffa links. Should I use them on pages for a domain that I eventually want to sell?

sure why not. You should, however, focus on the important links.
Dont use a good email account because that email will get spammed.

I cant recommend barrowing someone elses links pages (you know copy and paste) that is similar to your site. That would be just unmoral. But sure would save sometime.

Hehe lol

I would advise you NOT to use FFA on a rec. links page on your site.. not good.
search engines discourage this.. and can harm your rank in the long run.
Do it right.. without the FFA..

FFA pages are not worth the time or effort. Firstly, I don't think there are too many people trawling FFA pages looking for websites to visit.

Secondly, although FFA seem like a quick way to have lots of links contribute to better SE rankings but the truth is, research has shown, FFA links does not effect your link popularity one bit.

Finally, FFA pages are a breeding ground for spam. Don't contribute to it.

Having said that, a rec. links page is a good idea. Do it the old fashioned way by contacting relevant websites.

I didn't think that I could get anymore spam than I already get. My ISP is a small local coop phone co. and the spammers still manage to find us here.

I've known for a long time not to use my "regular" mail box, and my hotmail get a hundred or so per day.

What I was originally thinking was that I wouldn't hurt to use an ffa post for a site that I was not going to keep for myself, but I now understand that if I do that, I'll just be part of the problem. Thanks for the input and insight.

I dont recommend maintaining a ffa on your site. But using others is ok. But you will get spammed - Just so you know.

Really focus on the quality links from quality sites.
read their pagerank - read their Alexa ranking - its important.

As for Alexa traffic rank, it's not accurate, webmaster related sites usually have far higher ranking.

I would prefer taking linkpop and pagerank as a guide.

Yeah. Usually Alexa Ranking is outdated.
