You should really thank Glenn McCorkle for the traffic, if it's mainly from google. Seems he was the one to build up the PR with having a link in his signature in a mail archive.

Without the PR5 which mostly came from ~40 PR4 mail archive pages (~10 links per page), making the name what it is today would have been very hard. The backlinks it already had was what made it an attractive name, basically.

PR (pagerank) is a google term for the calculated importance of a PAGE (not domain, not site). Without going into what info is available on the algorithm that calculate this, I'll try to explain what it is;

When it comes to very popular terms in google, it's a total must to have a good PR for your page matching the search, to be listed in the top of the SERPs (search engine result page). When one page found to match the search term closely to equally as good as another, the one with the best PR takes the first position.

PS. I know there are some minor faults in the PR calculation, but I left some things out by purpose to keep it in a decently understandable manner.

eg. i have a gambleandwin.com site, if i link to ALL the

casino/gambling sites, i will hundreds of links and there by get

good ranking

It's only worth anything because of the google pankrank, linkpopularity and subsequent traffic to it. In general you should still avoid unnecessarily long names like this one.
