New Sneaky Domain Registration Spam

I just received this email that looks just like a legal notice. At first I thought it was a UDRP against me, but upon closer inspection they're just trying to sell me a dot INFO of a domain I already own. Sneaky!

In addition to remedies provided for by the URDP, section 4a (1)(2)(3) & b (1)(2)(3)(4) existing registrants, trademark and service mark owners are provided by DUC with a first right to use preference on domain names that are identical with new ccTLD, TLD extentions, or domain names that are confusingly similar to their own.

That's another strange thing. The domain seems to be trying to sell me 1200.info. I used to own 1200.org, but let it drop several months ago. And 1200.info seems to be already owned by Duke from DNjournal. What a mess!

Not good ~ - and I've received a few as well .... In my case I had the .com version already and they were trying to sell me a lesser extension - I filed it where it Belonged

I found a copy of an online notice from that "Domain Update Center", although
I forgot to note the link where I found it.

I wonder how or where in blazes do they get your info...who's in darn cahoots
around here...

I got the same thing for 1897.org, i owned, i thought i had some trouble,,,NONSENSE!

the mail was from a Hotmail address,,hahaha!

I got it sent to a "webcontact@_______" addy, so it looks more like they grabbed whois or emails from trolling/spidering.

I have received a very very simillar mail 3 weeks ago.
I had to read it 4 times untill I realized that it was not a trademark dispute, and that they wanted to reg me a different extension that I already owned.

Expecially for non english speaking folks those "new style" scam mails are very easy to misunderstand.

I suggest everyone to post such Mail gifts here or elsewhere, if you are not shure what it is about.
