Question OpenDomain.Org ???????

This has got to be one of the biggest jokes I have ever seen. www.opendomain.org . I tried asking them once I market the domain, and it gets popular, will you share the proceeds with me. I pushed submit and you get this everytime.

In my opinion this is a scam. I would hate to see a new person to this industry get caught up in that. They start spending money and after it is established they take it and sell it.

What is your opinion?

Would be sad to develop only to have it taken out from under you... Seems little protection from : http://opendomain.org/archives/category/terms/
I'll hold off on judgement for now, but might suggest just registering a domain name or buying a domain name instead of risking an unknown quantity.

ZackThom is an unknown quantity at this point

Caution The do NOT yank or take back domains

I have used OpenDomain.Org for a while, I think it is a GREAT service. They will only take a domain back if you do not follow the terms, and they ususally warn you a few times first. The domains ALREADY have a large pagerank - why would they buy domains from squatters only to let people use them. If they wanted to, they could just buy a bunch new domains with long names and create a link farm. Here they buy short, memorable names that are easy to remember for anyone to use. I have recommended their service to a few friends. Check out http://Bloog.Com

It looks to me like you don't get to buy anything. It looks like you lease the name and buid it's value. If you wanted to sell the business that you built the name on, you would only be able to sell the service or goods under a different name. Is that correct?
