A domain with hundreds of unique visits daily?

How can a domain get tens (or even hundreds) of unique visits daily when it's parked and no website is behind it? It seems illogical to me.

Are those statistics false (like manipulated or something)? or is there a very effective promotional way that gurantees lots of visitors to your parked page daily?

It's logical.
It's not false, nor does it involve lots of promotion.

Just imagine, if one day the owner of yahoo.com forgot to renew the domain, there would still be lots of visitors typing in yahoo.com in their browser.

But wouldn't search engines drop my domain after a while when i submit it to them? I mean it doesn't have contents or anything (just a "parked" page).

And aren't links directories for domains with active sites? (freelinksdirectory.net is for sale btw )

It is possible - But then again ... Not a lot of folks Return once they see the domain is just "Parked" instead of Developed (Talking about Expired Domain Traffic that is) - You can easily lose Backlinks and Traffic quickly if you don't Re-Develop the domain IMO ~

As far as new domains go - You can actually keep some returning visitors on Parked domains as the visitor may just see it as a Relative Search Engine IMO ~

The best way to get outrageous traffic is to have a great generic .com like skateboards.com or drugs.com
