ec = European Community??

Is "EC" ever used for/in domains intended for that geographical area (Europe)??

For example, if we (Yanks) saw USAmoble.com I think we'd take the hint the site was U.S. related. So, if y'all saw ECmobile.com would you make the a similar assumption... that it was a Euro related site??

Please advise!

No, it's not. I doubt that the average European even recognizes that acronym.

EU, but not EC. In fact EU is the only recognised one. 1 major problem anyone, in the US 1 lang. is spoken, and in the EU many many more are spoken. You would be wise not to target your site in that way.

I looked up both and while they're both Euro acronyms EC is from 1967 and EU is from 1993. I figured EC was old school and EU was the new 'n' improved!
