wwwl typo domain. Do you think it is valuable?

During searching some domain auctions in eBay, I found so many auctions about wwwl typo and they are saying wwwl typo domain is great because

Quote:
Internet users often mistakenly type an "l" instead of a "." when they enter a web address into their browser. It's an easy mistake to make since the "l" is directly above the "." on the keyboard.
I would like to get some your idea because I am seriously thinking about this typo domains.

Any comment will be welcomed.

Thanks.

I agree with XFactor... they are very poor typos IMO, and wont get traffic, and cant be developed...

Thank you for all answered in this thread.

As what artkreator mentioned, I am sure people will type wwwdomain.com but not wwwldomain.com

I tried a few times to type some site names and never typed any wwwl

Some do get traffic, most don't.

The key to getting a good one is knowing that people will be typing in the domain more often than clicking a link to arrive at it.

For example: About a month ago, on the local news I saw a report on a national program that was providing free credit reports. I figured that this same story would be shown across the whole country. At the end of the story, they gave the URL http://www.annualcreditreport.com

I quickly reg'd wwwlannualcreditreport.com

In approx 3 weeks time I've received 42 views with 18 clickthroughs (43%). I've already earned $12 in parking revenue. It's not going to make me rich but the domain is paid for and I've got 11 more months to add to the totals before renewal.

URL's that are shown on television are your best bet when it comes to buying wwwl domains. Two reasons why: 1. You know they have to type it in which increases the chance for the typo. 2. The visitor usually hasn't been to the website before so they don't realize they've arrived at the wrong website and are much more likely to click on the sponsored listings.

Hope this helps.
