Question Two Phrase .net Domains - should I buy?

Hi,

I have the option to buy a number of two phrase (no hyphens) .net domains.

The phrases (not the full domains) have Overture counts of around the 7,000 to 9,000 mark.

Now, I know that someone said yesterday that I should only look to buy .net domains that have a count of at least 20,000 for the phrases, but is it still worth buying these? There just doesn't appear to be much left in the higher count ranges.

Perhaps someone with such a domain would care to share the kind of traffic it gets and whether it covers the reg fee?

thanks

It obviously depends on two things:
1) The phrase(s)
2) How much it would cost you to buy.
More information might better serve the purpose of your question.

I agree allan. You need to tell us the "phrases" if you wish us to evaluate them.

Just to clarify, I'm not looking to register them out from under the OP, so maybe just a clue as to the topic and what an equiv phrase would be

Hehe, I trust you guys but not the lurkers.

Let's say I have what I believe to be popular/consumer driven/high potential phrases, and some which are at the opposite end of the spectrum.

e.g. some kind of consumer product. Would you recommend I grab the domain then anyway?

Again, if anyone has any examples, they would care to share their sedo traffic, I would be grateful. Maybe I should just go search Sedo instead and check some Overture counts manually to get some kind of estimate of numbers.
