Help! Valuing an established (13 years!) entertainment site?

Hi,

Firstly I'm not sure if this is the right section, but I'm looking for some advice. Back in 1999 we set up a directory of celebrity fan sites. This quickly became the leading site in this field and was featured in numerous 'best web site' books as well as publications like the WSJ and BBC.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/745955-valuing-established-13-years-entertainment-site.html

Fast forward 13 years and the site is still online, now running on PHPLD software, but very neglected and traffic is down to around 1,500 unique users per month (G Analytics). The site has been online for the entire 14 years and has a PageRank (if that counts for much these days!) of 5.

My question to the NP community is where do I start on valuing this? Based on income it would be worth very little. But is there value to the age of the domain, the PR, etc?

Any guidance appreciated, I'm happy to PM the URL but didn't want to post it in here.

Thanks

If the standalone domain isn't very good, I'd say you can only value it buy income or possibly "future income" if someone starts maintaining the site.
Also you should just tell the name and put this in appraisals...

It sounds like this site could become successful again with some extra backlinks, and I agree with the person above, fresh content as well.
