Most of the good names are gone ages ago and being a huge MMA/UFC fan, I have checked

Be careful with the UFC names, the letters "UFC" have been trademarked, you will get Dana White on your ass if you aren't careful

Some good potential in these names if you do it right

The question is: Who would buy these domains from you?

Next question: Do fanboys have enough money to pay you more than 100 dollars just to launch a fan site containing copyright images and videos of their favorite fighters? Or maybe launch another fan forum, of which there are already thousands scattered across the internet?

If you have the right name someone will buy it. So you're saying it maybe to risky to launch a MMA site because, the pic's maybe copyright?

If we talk about copyright images then feel free to check out the wrestling sites/forums all over the net.

The fanboys will check godaddy closeouts or try to find something cheap and available and make it work.

The money in this certain niche is in MMA stores wanting a brandable MMA domain, but at the same time all the good names are taken.

If its a good brandable mma domain name someone will buy it. Only if its brandable.

But, you're right all money is in mma stores.

There is still good MMA names left, you just have to think outside the box. I have one brandable .com mmma name. I'm looking for a international end-user.

I agree. Although popular the market is thoroughly saturated with MMA and UFC content already. These fanboys will NOT spend $100 for an average at best name when they can reg a .info for $0.49!

That said with the right mindset, a unique and brandable name and with enough capital one could produce a pretty successful website or blog. I say enough capital because you will be using copyrighted images, logos and video.

most of what has been said is true. On the other hand there are plenty of other MMA events outside of the UFC that do not get a lot of coverage on many of the websites. As the UFC bought WEC and now Strikeforce ,it seems that the internet is going in the same direction. Last year "VOX media" bought mmafighting.com after AOL didnt have enought money fund it anymore.
" SBNation Owner Vox Media Purchases MMAFighting from AOL (Time will tell what changes are in store for MMAFighting) Well, apparently the rumor that MMAFighting.com’s time as an AOL property was ticking down had some teeth to it. CagePotato has learned that the popular MMA website has been bought by Vox Media Inc. Vox Media, formerly SB Nation, is a web media company whose properties include SBNation.com, BloodyElbow.com, MMAMania.com, BadLeftHook.com, CagesideSeats.com, GalsGuidetoMMA.com and HeadKickLegend.com. The company owns more than 300 sports-based blog sites — the majority of which are staffed by part-time editors and are largely based around stories and posts submitted by fans. " So you see branded sites are worth money, but all of those sites are updated daily and some have reporters at events. But "staffed by part-time editors and are largely based around stories and posts submitted by fans".

I agree there are plenty of MMA org that don't get coverage like the UFC. There also international MMA organization that don't get any media attention. Bollywood just started an MMA league. The opportunity is there you just have to think outside the box. Read the link.
