$550/mo revenue, Good Offer Pending?

I have a domain that generates a consistent $550/mo revenue. That's about $500 from Adsense and $50 from viglink. I believe I could reach out and get specialized sponsors but I have no idea what I would ask for ads. Maybe $50 for a small ad and $200 for the banner per month? So I am guessing I could be generating just shy of $1000/mo by January.

In the meantime I have an offer which I think is a good one. It is around $20k.

Is this a good offer? I just don't know where I would put $20,000 and get a $1000/mo return. I almost would rather keep it for the nice cash flow. Please advise me in my noobness.

550x12=$6600. At $20k that's about 3yrs revenue. So that's not a bad return. But of course it depends on the the domain name and the end-user. But it's not a bad cash flow. You won't get that return anywhere else.

Not much. I would be surprised if I spend more than 1 hour per week on it.

Is 3 years revenue the norm for pricing websites?

Usually 10 months but up to 2 years for good established sites. Only as good as your google ranking, so it's risky.

Of course if it's a 1 word .com domain which is brandable, the sky is the limit, depending on the buyer. If 20K was their first offer, they will go higher, maybe a lot higher. Presumably they don't have the revenue information?

You will get your money for 3 years, so I'd say this is a great offer and you should sell. However, you know better than anyone how much is your site worth.

Good luck!

I say keep the domain name. Why sell something that is making you money? 3 years is not that long. If you keep this domain it will probably still be earning you money 10 years from now.

It does not sound like you need the money and if you don't have a strategy for taking the $20,000 and turning it into something making you the $1,000 you think you will be making then it does not make sense to sell it imho.

That is assuming that it is a solid website that should continue to grow.
