Last year's show wasn't too spectacular. But this time, they say they are changing things around.

I am submitting a name, but just wondering do I fill in my company's details by "First Name" and "Last Name"

(since that is the registrant of the domain), or should I fill in my personal details?

I am thinking they are using it for verification maybe (though it would be a weak form of it). So maybe not.
Else it should have rather said, "Registrant details"?

So it maybe requires a natural persons details to hold that particular person accountable for submissions
on behalf of the organization?

Reason why I ask, is that in the event that my domain (which would have been accepted and bid on) is
eventually sold, I do not want a discrepancy between the submission and registrant info to stand in the
way of payment being effected. (Well let's hope my submission makes it all the way)

I want to submit it correctly, first time.

Anyone? Is it just for contact purposes? Or might it also be used for payment details?

In actual fact, a registered company is a juristic person-so it can enter contracts itself (which the
submission is). (I am leaning more towards this one)

Has anyone submitted domains thus far?

As for the auction...I haven't sent any in yet, I was actually looking
for a venue so i will be sending some for approval - without holding my breath LOL

As for the contact info - I always put what is on the domain so that
there is nothing different and no risk of surprises should it sell.
I do have an alternate email that I use for contact for these
sort of things which is not the same as whois.

Not sure about it being in a company name, [wiould probably need a personal contact in Admin]

and as long as you are authorised to sell it - shouldn't be an issue.

Hmmm, after reading your reply as a whole, it would seem that as long as one is authorised to sell, the
contact details used in submission would not really matter much. I guess they are aware of such things.
So I think using an alternate email address should also be fine.

Interesting point you raised. Makes sense.
I have noticed with many whois records, the company is mentioned in the admin contact.
(e.g. melancholia (dot) org's admin contact is a company: F M A). I contacted Godaddy last year

regarding admin info, they said that it did not have to be a person-but I usually get different stories
with other issues from different agents, so I can't really rely on their word.

I submitted one name and it was accepted. The form you fill out on the site is just a contact form. I haven't got the paperwork yet, but TRAFFIC always has a bunch of paper forms to fill out that act as the legal contract. The form on the site doesn't matter it's just a way of opening up talks.

Yes, it's optional, but, if you don't pay it even though you have a contract you may have your domain bumped from the auction.

You also pay less commission on completion of a sale if you pay the fee.

I was told there will be 250 domains in the auction. So far 86 spots have been claimed according to: DomainGang Article

I haven't paid the fee on my name that was 'accepted' (I guess more accurately 'shortlisted'), and have been told that it will depend on how many others pay the fee to guarantee a spot.

As for replies to not accepted domains, I don't know.

As per the TRAFFIC site:

"Note: Not all names submitted will be accepted for the T.R.A.F.F.I.C.
Auctions. You will be contacted if your domains are accepted."

But they don't give a time-frame. I submitted 21 September.. That's over
48 hours. I think they don't like .Nets

Will wait and see. Maybe I am impatient? Not likely

Sucks that there isin't a viable venue for "non .com's"
as publicized as these.

I tried to submit one domain but the submit form sucks.

Every time it told me:
SUCCESS.The reCAPTCHA wasn't entered correctly. Try Entering It Again.

I tried 3 times and always got the same.
Finally I don't know I am successful, or failed because of "The reCAPTCHA wasn't entered correctly"
