Who owns NameBio.com?

I have tried to contact them several times due to the fact that one of my names, which I have owned for over 4 years now, is reporting on their site to be sold earlier this year on sedo for a low price and I have yet to receive a response to any of my requests to have it removed.

The same information was being reported on DNSalesPrice.com and I contacted them to remove it and they did right away, stating that this is common issue with sedo.

If you look at domain records, you can clearly see the domain has never been sold since I originally purchased it.

Since I cannot get the owner or staff of NameBio.com to respond to my emails, I am posting here and at NP in hopes of someone to finally get this situation rectified.

This false information being posted on their site has killed two transactions for me in the past month and I have just about had it.

If you are going to run a site offering information on domain name sales, at least implement a system to verify the accuracy of your results and/or at least respond to emails when your users try to contact you.

Thank you,

"NameBio.com and DnJournal.com are the two most popular and trusted services to find reported domain name sales."

Have to disagree with that part. DNJournal, yes. Namebio, you can't trust the dates on that site. When doing research, I usually pop open Namebio, DNSalePrice and DomainTools and DomainTools has the more accurate dates.

So besides the date issue, the other issues that started when they "upgraded" with things not sticking and them not ever having .me domain sales, hopefully the new owner gets that site together.

I was able to find the new owner on DNF, let's see if he responds to a PM.

Only network that gets away with publishing false information is FOX news... This guy has a duty to verify the information he publishes or must be prepared to face the consequences of the damage his site creates.

Hi JB. We report the sales that are provided to us. Many of them are the same sales that are reported to the other sites you rattle off. We all really get the same data as it updates, much of it from feeds. I think the historical data points are where one service may shine over others. I won't claim that we are better than anyone else but we try our best. If there are mistakes I am happy to take a look at the data and correct the mistakes.

I'm not sure what you mean by Domaintools reporting the dates more accurately. Could you provide an example ? I'd appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks

We started upgrading the look and feel at the tail end of the year and then I lost my main programmer. I'm just starting to get things rolling again there so I'm happy to hear you out on feedback. Thanks Adam

zurc we report data and information from trusted third parties. If there's an error (lately it's been in sedo's feed to us) we try and remedy the situation. If you could provide specifics I'd be happy to help.

As an aside, I haven't seen any emails but got the PMs . Thanks

Please do not claim you have not received emails. I have emailed you three times from namebio.com contact form and once to the email in the whois. If you looked over it and/or deleted it without looking into the situation, that is one thing, but to claim they were never sent is pretty immature.

I am PM'ing you with the specific domain I have been reporting with no avail.

Not so much the amounts but the dates. Just one example, Bahamas.tv

Namebio - $10,000 on 1/21/2011
DomainTools - $10,000 on 9/11/2010

I remember posting in the .tv thread what I thought were new sales based on info from Namebio but were actually old sales - http://www.namepros.com/423232-repor...ml#post4063730

The update where what you picked wasn't sticking "When you try to set parameters like price range or anything else, it doesn't stick when you go to another page." - http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-...ml#post4114234

And of course, I like to see the .me sales there.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=728112

Looking forward to see the improvements, overall I like the site.

Just to clear this up and so everyone knows here. I believed we've Mike's issue here. The form wasn't emailing me and that is now fixed. It's unfortunate that the email you sent to the whois contact never reached me. We're working on figuring that out too . Never doubted you sent it, just trying to figure out how to help and get the email problem solved on our end.

Looks like the site is getting back on track. Even added sales for the .me extension that were missing before. Have to scroll down to see it, since that one isn't in the right order but nice to see it there.

nameflake will become famous soon enough

I have noticed that some of domains seem to generally have inaccurate data there. I use dnsaleprice as well and it carries many more sales than namebio. I contacted namebio several years back regarding the fact they were not converting the euro sales to us dollars before listing the sales price IN us dollars. It appears they still have done nothing about this and are reporting numbers pretty off the mark compared to the other site(those that have sold in euros or gbp I presume). Big diff between 17k and 24k which is the discrepancy on one I just observed. Something they need to be aware of.. I don't think I received any straight answer.
