![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Definitions of Ezine on the Web: An "Electronic Magazine." Newsletters, magazines, and other publications that are distributed via email are often called ezines. www.sfimg.com/Reference/Glossary.html ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/72695-ezine-or-blog.html An electronic magazine, often sent via email and/or posted on a website. These "magazines" are usually short, and are often free. I strongly suggest signing up for free ezines in your field and starting one of your own as a marketing tool. Signing up for your competitor's ezine helps you keep up to date with what they're doing, and can give you ideas for your website. www.busymarketing.com/glossary.htm The electronic online equivalent of a magazine. www.hyperformancemedia.com/Glossary.htm A magazine in electronic form, as opposed to a paper-based printed magazine. Ezine's are usually delivered via a Website or an email newsletter. www.smileyface.com.au/q&a_glossary.htm This is a hybrid word which is short for 'email magazine'. You pronounce it 'EEE-zeen'. You create an ezine to stay in touch with customers and motivate prospects to buy. Some people just send out an ezine for the fun of it, or on a given theme with no commercial motive. We have a number of ezines which fulfil different purposes. www.profitstation.com/displayvillage/define.htm I have alot of ezine related software, templates, etc. that I've accumulated.. was wondering if anyone had had experiences to share? I often get ezines in my email.. some of the largest and most successful are link review format ezines...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The only difference between ezine and blog is that ezine is a periodical and it's supposedly delivered electronically to subscribers on a regular scheduled basis. So it appeals more to a professional audience. P.S. I don't think either ezines or blogs will ever beat forums. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Out of those two, I'd say an Ezine simply because it does appear to be more professional in appearance (though don't get me wrong a good blog can too). I'd have to agree, however that a forum probably beats them both though it takes more work in terms of starting off and building up. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | aren't ezines essentially email newsletters?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yup... but some are so darn successful.. case in point: www.linkydinky.com I think an ezine gives an aura of professionalism myself.. just curious as to whether anyone here has successfully used the format?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Actually many blogs have more than one contributer.. I think the main distinction is one is more oriented toward email delivery. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=72695

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Are they one? I wouldn't think so... my thought is that an ezine's main method of communication is via email...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=ezine ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=72695 http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=blog I'd follow those definitions. IMHO an ezine doesn't necessarily mean that it's published through email. Any type of online mag is an ezine to me and many are published on site. For instance, a multiple person blog looks more like an ezine to me. I tend to associate a blog with a more personal meaning as in a diary or some type of commentary on a certain subject. Going by my own definitions, I'd term DNJournal an Ezine out of these two. |

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=72695 So I'd say bl0gger blogs, at least until G--00gle gets knocked off it's king-of-the-search-engines pedistal, which, judging by the SERP these days, might happen soon. AmCy
