![]() ![]() ![]() | selling domains on ebay. Is it the complete waste of time we're led to believe or can you get rid of some domains on ebay? I was considering putting a few crap names on there just to get rid of them. Hoping a few nunces would bid more than they are worth, which is maybe a few dollars each only. I wouldn't put a valuable domain on there, I don't think. Whats your opinions, or do you all just hate ebay? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have both sold and bought domains on eBay, and haven't had great results with either really ;-) The domains I bought turned out to be somewhat overpriced (But they were what I was looking for) and it is somewhat difficult to coordinate transfers (Assuming the free push isn't an option). Still, not a bad place overall, partly because... I've listed domains there that end up going for .99 (99 cents) because there just isn't the demand for them at that time, only to be offered in the mid $xx range for them the next week although they had already been sold. eBay isn't great, but nowhere is perfect. The 2 worst things about eBay are 1) Their relationship to PayPal (they own it) and 2) Their fees have increased again, meaning speculative sales rarely pan out and end up costing more $$$ than they bring in from parked views (usually). ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/72532-selling-domains-on-ebay.html -Allan

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It really is a toss up ...and Unless it is a 3 letter dot com or some other Premium domain don't expect a miracle. But I will say you can Get rid of some in the Wholesale and above range prices. I have overall done Better on there with No-Reserve auctions (It's my Auction Format of choice , Love the rush of a Live feel -lol) But NR is not for the faint of Heart ~ It can break your as well as hurt your ......????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=72532 Also ~ Folks have been making money off of shipping cost on "Actual Products" forever .... +/- Anything you see there or on TV for sale - The folks are making money on the Shipping - That's fine , BUT : Trying to hide additional fees from Ebay or Potential Buyers on Domains and Electronic Transferred type items is just making Sellers look BAD now IMO ~ Unless it is something I REALLY want .... I now stay clear of all of them !Good Luck ~

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have sold domains on there, but only ones that I feel are right for it. They would be either ones I am not too happy about owning OR top end domains that I think would benefit from high visability. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Based on listing fees and short listing times, I think the only thing worth putting there is premium names and pakages of multiple names. Premium names with high cost listing fees and extras sometimes do okay, junk names probably won't recover the listing fees.

![]() | I have sold a couple decent names I sold NewCars.WS and WildSevens.COM for around $50-$60 a piece. But, those are my success stories. I have also tried to sell many decent domain names at a starting bid of $8.00 w/ no reserve and had no bids. Big waste of insertion fees, and time. 50/50 IMO. Any REAL success stories? |
