Information Needed!

Sorry for Newbie Question:

What does a .biz TLD mean? What is it's long term value? What is the value of one word .biz domains? Is a .biz worth investing in?

Thoughts?

I need to know quickly cuz i found a One Word .biz that im dieing to have if its' any good (Cant tell you the domain name though,

)

If it relates to business,and a business might want to use it, it may be worth something. .biz works best for smaller companies that don't not being .com. I generally look for industries that have hundreds or thousands of small players rather than a couple big corporations.

.biz as in business is the general association. If you want the name I would say buy it. If it's purely for resale then that would all depend on the name. Music.biz is worth alot. Supercalifragilistic.biz not alot.

.BIZ means Business, .COM means Commerce. It's a Generic Top Level Domain, or gTLD, same like .COM, and was launched in 2001.

It is perfect for long-term investments as the namespace roots itself into naming structure acceptability in the coming years, particularly if you are targeting the B2B sector. .COM is best used as a B2C address for targetting kids, teens and blue-collar mine workers.

The value of any word .biz domains depends on its natural alpha-structure fit against what we can most commonly associate with B2B, eg http://www.gamesindustry.biz . Names like cool.biz or monkey.biz stretches the imagination a bit much, and sounds CONTRIVED, and probably will only have novelty value. Of course, anyone can make a name work with good development, but it is a stretch...
