hmmmm...

Looks like Ricky is still content to dwell in the 20th century.

That just may open the door for another competitor for him so it's all good for the extension.

Time marches on...

SouthBeach.tv is a great name and fit's this auction. Huge tourist $$$$ and hopefully an end-user will see the value to buy that name. The other's, .cm, I don't understand.

This is one of the premier domaining conferences of the year and the 200+ domain auction list is full of .CO, .CM, i/e .COM domains and brandables. If I saw these at Namejet, there are fewer than twenty I would be interested in and most of those have reserves I doubt will be met. There are several nice .Nets however. It still amazes me the filtering mechanism used to determine which domains make the cut - but that seems to happen quite frequently in auction events.

I've been so put off by some of Rick's auction choices and lack that of and his pretty useless webssite that I rarely follow him anymore. If anything I may see a nice sale that his team has brokered that makes the list or something.

Southbeach.TV is nice to the point if perhaps along the line of Hollywood.TV maybe but it'll be a good name to own either for development or to hold til the right timne to sell.

The auction is almost a sure fire flop, but adding in a whole lot of .tv's would not change that.

Animal Cruelty
The only domains that stood out to me were

MovieIndustry.com
Athlete.com
Coed.com
CelebrityWatch.com

Athlete.com is my favorite one. Obviously SouthBeach.TV is a great domain with great potential but besides that we all have to admit there are a lot of "crap" domains in this auction. So if snoop predicts this auction to be a flop, I'm pretty sure he ain't far off this time around.

.co domains bring down the whole auction, I d never allow my domains listed in such auctions, I d make more money if I put them on my blog for sale.

Agree

Any major sale like this that has less than 50% of names under the hammer is a flop.

Most auction houses tend to have sales of 80% plus in other areas of industry (such as property auctions, antiques, etc)

I like the Florida theme.

From KeyLimePies.com to SecondLanguage.com to Deport.com... I expected KingJames.co to be honest.

Some of the reserves on the .co seem outrageous but it's an interesting test case to see if the .co really has legs or not.

Seen some high auction sales in the land rush (which I think represent overvalue on buzz) - but there are those who say that they would reach 3x + that on the open market.

Well here we are. Some PREMIUM name .co's. I would like to say I'm right and they won't sell but the .co has continued to surprise people. I don't see them looking as bright and shiny intermixed with a few decent .coms and .nets.

Disappointing .com showings will decimate the perceived .co value imho.

I too think less than 50% of these names will sell and many of those will be the low reserve items. I don't see 20Gs in terms like Alligators but I really don't see 7-20K in some of the .co's

But WCWIT

SouthBeach.TV - the most perfect name here.

With so many overpriced .co I cannot see even a 20% sales rate although the odd big .com (pre arranged perhaps?)sale may boost the figures.

2 days left for Latona online auction with still only 3 bids.

I just saw the first 2 names after the bids .co.uk -CashierChecks.co.uk ,CashChecks.co.uk - very basic spelling errors as the word cheque(s)is used in the UK. Very bad quality control there.
