GoDaddy Push Problem

I accepted an Account Change (domain push) a bit after 6 pm last night at GoDaddy and after two more trys at accepting the push, the domain still has not appeared in my account. I emailed GoDaddy, their reply was to try to accept the domain again (I did, didn't work).. so I called them and after waiting on hold for nearly 15 mins, they told me the domain was still "in the process" of being pushed to my account and I "should wait"... hm, really helpful.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/68083-godaddy-push-problem.html

Anyway, just got an email from them stating that they'd "elevated" the support request and would "look into it further" and "get back to me", presumably "shortly".

Hm, my first problem with GoDaddy, but forget the $2.4 mil Super Bowl commercial and give me good tech support and my domain!

You "push" a domain from your account to a new buyer's account, if they are using the same registrar. If they are using a different registrar, then it is called a "transfer".

I have been having a few problems with some .cc names that I have been reg'ing at a GD reseller...
I end up getting the names in my account but it takes 2 days...not all the time but twice in the last 2 weeks...Support told me the same...just wait. The names did appear but a little unsettling at times.

The oinly time I had a similar problem it turned out that it really was not a problem until I got too hasty. My calling them about nothing that was anything to worry about just makes thigs confusing and frustratin.

I am surprised you were on hold for so long. I never wait more than 3 seconds to get on with a live person.

Oh, well, I suspect you will get things squared away soon. I have registered 278 domains with them over the last year and only had ONE minor problem tha treally wasn't a problem at all.

I received a pushed domain at godaddy yesterday, took a few hours to complete the process but it eventually happened. It is unsettling as you seem to be in limbo for that time window.

Possibly load problems??

If I remember correctly I had two other pushes that were completed in about 90 mins tops.. probably less.

I just got an email and their solution seems to be to have the original owner cancel the push then reinitiate it.. sounds like they are stumped and looking for a possible fix. You'd think they could push it manually by this point.

The guy I talked to earlier did not seem too competent..

I've been experiencing similar problems and this morning I couldn't even get into my account. The latter seems to be resolved now.

I just received this email:

Dear David Gridley,

Thank you for contacting customer support.

I apologize for the confusion. I am showing that the domain
'xxx-xxxx.us' is not registered. Is this the correct spelling for the domain you are attempting to move?

Please let us know if we can help you in any other way.

Yet you can go to their own site and do a check and it comes up registered! Is this an example of total incompetence or what?

I've tried accepting an Account Change (push) for this domain 5 times now.. and it still is not showing in my account...

Will keep you posted!

And the solution is...

More waiting apparently... the latest email:

Dear David,

Thank you for contacting customer support. We apologize for any confusion in our previous response. I do see the change of account request and acknowledge your acceptance of the transfer via your purchase receipt provided. This is all you need to do, please allow up to 48 hours for the domain to finalize transferring to your account. If the domain has not transferred to your account by 02/05/2005, please respond to this message and we will investigate the issue further.

Please let us know if we can help you in any other way.

Seriously disappointed in the level of "customer service"... this is almost laughable.... if it weren't such a serious breach of support.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=68083

Guess I'll be moving my domains away from GoDaddy in the future.

Finally "resolved".. the domain is finally pushed due to the efforts of the original owner and the telephone... but 1) I never had any success myself, and 2) still have not had any contact from GoDaddy letting me know the situation was taken care of.. the original owner told me or I'd still be waiting!

I just got an email from GoDaddy support informing me that they "were still working on resolving my problem" and "rest assured" it will be taken care of in a timely manner.. apparently they are completely unaware that the situation had been resolved already, making the latest email and out and out lie (that they were still working to resolve the problem)... hm, amazing!

GoDaddy's support has taken a real nise dive in my estimation.
