Got refund for a misspelled domain at godaddy with in 24 Hours!

Folks,

This is not a question to np members, it just the steps to delete a domain registration at godaddy. Hope some one will find it useful.

yesterday i registered a name at godaddy and after completing the registration only i found i had a spell mistake in the domain.
So immediately contacted the tech support through their 'contact us' form. I got a prompt reply within 10 minutes describing all the steps i need to take to delete my domain and get the refund (if eligible).

Steps they asked me to take :

We would be happy to request a refund for your order. However, we will need you to first cancel the domain name in question within 5 days (120 hours) of the purchase or renewal date. Once canceled, please reply to this email and we will submit your refund request.

Please note: Cancellation and refund of certain services will also cancel any free services associated with it.

To cancel any item in your account, please use the following instructions:

First, log into your customer account:

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/679038-got-refund-misspelled-domain-godaddy-24-a.html
• Go to our homepage.
• Log in at the top of the page using your account username (which may be the same as your customer number) and password.

If you have trouble logging in, our Account Retrieval System may help you. You can use this to retrieve your customer number and/or reset your customer account password. You can find this system by selecting 'Click Here' next to 'Forgot Your Password?' on the 'My Account' login page.

To Cancel Your Domain

1. From ‘My Products’, click ‘Domain Manager’
2. Check the box next to the domain(s) you wish to cancel.
3. Click the 'Delete Selected' button from the menu above.
4. Check the box next to 'Please Cancel Domain(s)' to confirm that you would like to cancel.
5. Click the green 'Ok' button to complete the process.

The domain will be in a hold status for a few minutes while your request is pending update. During this period, several details of the domain(s) will be temporarily unavailable.

Once a domain has been canceled, it is released if not reactivated within 30 days.

That's excellent customer support! Considering GoDaddy as an alternative to NameCheap. Heard that many don't recommend GoDaddy, why is that?
