You're right, it does seem extremely low. I would be surprised if this was an actual sale.

Because marketplaces are hot. Although no one can seem to build one worth a damn and compete with ebay.

But look at craiglist.com. A very successful classified site. And there are others, like buysellcommunity.com (yes a "worthless" 3-worder. right?

People need to get rid of their junk and buy someone else's junk. The local paper only brings in so many responses, but the internet opens you up to more buyers and therefore your chance of selling is much greater.

I agree, the domain, if really sold at that price, was a complete bargain.

What really bugs me is that the owner is too lazy to put up a classified script. There are MANY FREE classified scripts out there to use yet all you get when you go there is a nearly blank page that says "The Interet Classfides". What a waste of such agood domain name and space.

I am beginning to see (thinking of another thread) why some people think others who are not into developing even to the slightest degree should not even bother buying domains. This is a good example. Too cheap and lazy to buy a FREE classified ad script. A true moron of a domain owner to say the least.
