change wp blog from asia to biz

I have a wp blog on a dot asia domain which has come up for renewal. There is a dot biz of the same name available and i thought i would change from the asia to the biz as a lot cheaper. Now the blog is a pr2 and gets traffic. Not sure why as it was my first blog and it is only partially completed but anyway, what is the situation with transferring the gumph from the asia to the biz? Would i lose all the good stuff? The cpanel access is also set up under the dot asia so how do i update it to get access to the dot biz?

do a 301 redirect before you canceling the .asic

I agree. Install 301 redirect from old web site to the new one and be patient.
