Brandables auctions?

I haven't ever seen an auction specifically focussed on brandables / web 2.0ish type names... Given that there is interest, shouldn't there be one? I know they're harder to evaluate than keywords but there must be a slew of 4-letter, 5-letter pronounceables etc that would be well served by being grouped and showcased... Anyone heard about anything like this?

Its not an auction but you could try listing them on Catchy.com (owner of domaining.com) but you'd have to take a look at their terms to see if it's suitable for you.

According to that site, names like Kibei and Opeto is worth Xx,xxx... Clearly overpriced. I listed Gidei for 80$ just to mock Kibei.

I love brandable domains.

Basically, there is no specific aftermarket for these types of names other than small startups like BrandBucket, Catchy, etc. I try to sell my own brandables from my website.

I don't think a 5-7 letter brandable auction would fare very well. The sweet spot for these is only like $30 reseller if they sound good. If they are really hot, then $50-$75. I can't recall seeing one sell for over $100.

There have no doubt been higher end user sales, but you are entirely at the mercy of the waiting game since there is nobody to contact.

I would say those are keyword brandables rather than pure brandables such as Twitter, Zappos, Skype, etc...
