I have been a vicitim of fraud more then once... Its not that they dont care... Its that they dont have anything to back them up.

When i called customer service about the issue... their customer service isnt great either. Do you every feel like the person you are talking too acts like they care? But in reality...If they dont further help you.... do they get paid any less? NOPE... infact its apparent that they couldnt care less what happens in your situation.

Its hard to believe that such a larg corperation has such little protection

You want to make a big corporation like Paypal care? Talk to a lawyer about starting a class-action suit, then get all your olnine friends to help find other Paypal fraud victims (shouldn't be too hard). If you end up with a multi-million $ settlement, don't forget to send me a free ipod.

Paypal will never care....And they are bastards........And scammers too..
I am sure ebay/paypal works partially with those scammers for making money.
People in US can atleast call them to resolve the issue, but what about others
It is really a mess when you have to wait for so long time getting connected to a person on an "international call"
They would never reply to emails in less than one week.
I have one seller complaint when the goods were delivered. I called paypal many times but there was no one to hanlde the "international call". My emails were never replied
And when the "time in which you can resolve the issue got over", I got a reply from them stating that "We see that the issue is resolved, Thanks for using ****ing paypal"
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/64615-has-anyone-ever-been-a-victim.html

I dont know what if people of US dont care or what...
But paypal is still continiung with its Age Old Scam!!
Its TOS are against the Credit Card Service Agreement...

Actually there are ways using which people make money using paypal...Not to mention any on these forums here..but they(scammers) have make it their business here and considering the number of paypal customers, they get the victims handy everyday!
Long live paypal for them!!

My father got screwed out of $100 via Paypal. He was told the transaction was fine, so he sent the shoes, and then days later, they just took the money out of the bank account and he never got back the shoes. We tried to talk to them (he is not that internet savvy), but to no avail. They were like, "You shouldn't sell it to a guy who stole a credit card." Like he was supposed to know that...

We tried, but they just fell on a deaf ear. And then the way they had it down (since he transferred it to my account, they made him look like the culprit) so we couldn't even file in the lawsuit. Live and learn I guess. The best advice for anyone with Paypal is to have a separate account just for Paypal and transfer that money out ASAP.

They just keep a blind eye to the bunch of scammers using paypal , as long as they keep bringing money to them.

Use Paypal only for convenience, but be prepared to lose every single cent on that transaction. As a rule (and depending on how rich you are because it is your daddy's money anyway), transactions $500 and below who cares if you get frauded. Transactions in the thousands, go Escrow at minimum.

I've done many Paypal transactions at $1k and below, and have never got burnt. It pays to do your homework on who you are buying from. I always try to do a background check.

Notwithstanding, caveat emptor.

100 dollars is nothing...

I was frauded $10,000 by a lady named kathy roman that lives in california.

I was selling pocket bikes on ebay ( for those who dont know what they are, they are mini motor cycles/sport bikes) and was buying them from her as i got orders in...and she was shipping them out to my customers ( also called Drop Shipping...something a lot of major corps do)

I sent her money here and there, as she kept saying she was still shipping out... She ended up keeping about 10k of mine...and paypal did absolutely NOTHING about it!

I was forced to hire a lawyer and only managed to get 6k back... i guess its better then nothing.... but this proves two things...
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=64615

Paypal has no support....and you cant trust anyone.

Yes it was dumb for me to send that much money without verifying... But i trusted paypal to back up her words.

Andrew

£50 and the odd $10. NoChex is good for the UK, once the money is sent, you can't get it back!

I'm certain that PayPal is quite happy to block a persons account in the event of a complaint and then just forget about it. Just like hosts that will pull a plug on a site because of a spam complaint without even finding out if there really was spam sent.

Somehow I've got the feeling that we are all getting the short end of the stick with these types of things. We are the ones that pay the fees on payment processors and yet there only has to be one idiot around complaining and you lose all your money. I think it is about time that PayPal and payment processors in general start realising on which side their bread is buttered on. I would be more than happy to sign a petition pertaining to such!
