3D opinion poll

I dare not think as to how much cash the godaddy's of this world have made over the last couple of weeks due to the 3d domain craze, but I am confident that it is more than they collective sale value of said domains.

I am a firm believer that the 3d/product domains, in most extensions will be a good investment. You know, 3d tv, 3dlaptop, 3dcinema, 3dphones etc and more than likely terms associated with these. 3D mobile phones 3dplasmatv etc. Basically the product specific ones. I would hazard a guess that 35% of these domains will find an enduser or another domainer willing to pay xxx+ for these
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/644307-3d-opinion-poll.html

The ones I am unsure about are the 3d/random ones. Now ive seen some good ones, 3dsport, 3dchat, 3dmusic ones that you would not neccasarily link to any product, but can be branded to a great site. some of these may get xx,xxx and others xxx but in truth only maybe 10% of these domains will find a good home.

Then there are the dreadful ones. 3dinthe20thcentury, 3dmakesmefeelbad, 3dIcantbelieveiboughtthisdomain etc. These I believe will be worthless. You may get 1% of these selling for xx if your very lucky.

My advise is simply this, stop regging and start being smart.

Which leads me to the question.

Am I right?

Don't understand the point of your poll? Do you just want to be reassured that your 3D domains will have potential or Do you want to show us that you are righ?Cuz there's a debat on 3D domain & technology potential allready opened. Really think there's no point saying YES or NO to resolve the future potential of 3D keyword.

My point is, don't waste your cash on crappy anything 3d. The only people getting wealthy are the registrars. Your name says it all, Buy wiser. Follow that through.

Interchange any hot trend with "3D" and that just about sums up any trend. 90% or more of the names regged trying to capitalize on 3D are completely worthless names that would never sell, and the ones that are truly good that would have a chance to sell were taken many years ago, before 3D was a trend, considering 3D was in existence then and has been for a long time. It's not a new term like blog was...there's nothing you could get today that you'd be smacking yourself 5 years from now wondering why the heck you passed up the chance to get it.

3dtv,3d-tv,3dtelevision.3d-television,3dmovie,3d-movie,3dtheatre,3d-theatre,3dscreen,3d-screen and all of their plural variants will do fine in the 3 major tld's plus some of the better cctld's.

The majority of the rest are pure crap.

The people who are talking about it now, and want to have gems for regfee are a tad bit late.. On the other hand it's still not late for development.. I was really surprised there are so many upcoming 3D movies, I thought it was Avatar and that is it: 3D Family Movies
