Advice needed.

I'm looking for some advice.

There is a domain name I would like to purchase, it will cost me quite a bit I'm sure but I'm willing to come up with the needed funds (obviously within reason).

Currently the name is just parked at DS. In doing a whois search it appears there's a bogus email address at securewhois listed, but it may be legit, I dunno. Does securewhois use strange strings of letters for their email addresses? There is a phone number, so I could also call.

Anyway, any advice on how to approach someone who has a valuable domain name that you want to buy?

Thanks,
Dan

Starting out with an e-mail is always a good idea. Wait a couple of days and if you get no answer should you think about contacting the owner over the phone.

boldylicious will become famous soon enough

If the domain is parked, there is a big chance that the owner is waiting for a buyer (i will also check sedo and afternic to see if the name is listed)
Or maybe is waiting to develop, check the registration date in the whois, if the name is more than 6 months old, id rather think is for sale and not for development.
Email is the best way to contact a domain owner IMO

Good Luck
