General Keyword Search Metrics

Sorry if this exists somewhere in a sticky post..

But generally speaking. What would typically be considered a good [exact search keyword] match count?

I understand that there are MANY other factors - competition, synonyms etc. but if I were to find a 2 key word .com with:

2000 EXACT searches and 500,000 results pages on "quoted search"

Is that relatively good to consider as a reg and try to sell or try to develop into something (if similar .com are taken) For example : findhouse is taken but findhouses is not for something where plural makes sense.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/639507-general-keyword-search-metrics.html

What is the no brainer number?

5,000 EXACT?
100,000 EXACT searches?

Does it change dramatically with .US? Given that the value is << dot Com .

I'd appreciate any comments - or a pointer to a thread on this. I couldn't find one with a cursory look. I'd take a lmgtfy if its easy to find.

If the niche the keywords relate to is easily monetized, and the top ten results aren't that competitive it's a good domain to register and develop.

Try doing a intitle:"quoted search" and see how many results then come up.

The thing is with an exact match domain often you have little effort to put in to get a #1 position.

So even if the traffic wouldn't be overwhelming, you could still turn it into a little money maker and make it a good addition to your portfolio of developed domains.

And .us domains may not be as much in value from a pure domain sales standpoint, but when you develop an exact match domain you have the same SEO advantage if it was a .com
