Moniker's Domainer Mardi Gras Showcase auction - what a joke!

Wonder if anyone has bothered submitted names into this auction & if so, how many, if any of your names made it through. I just looked through the list but not one of my names have made it through. Not only did the list come out like 2 days before the start of the auction (which I read that showcase auctions the list is meant to be available 2 weeks before auction start), but they had submissions open on their site past the deadline.

I submitted a combo of 2 word .com, 2 character domain hacks, 1 word .tv names. Amazingly not 1 .tv name is in that list but you have crappy .tel there! On the other hand, names like the below have been accepted which I find funny, yet sad.

It seems that the Moniker auction these days are becoming more of a joke.

These companies that run live auctions really need to hire more experienced people who can actually value domains objectively.

It is not just Moniker, most of these auctions have either great domains that are vastly overpriced or domains that are hardly worth reg fee. They need people who have an eye for the domains that will interest buyers.

The best buys are ActingLessons.com, AudioCabinet.com, ForexInvestments.com and PortablePiano.com. There are other great domains aside from these but they're so overpriced that they would have been better off not listing them.

True. It seems that they must be getting high school students to do some of the selections.

A couple of .tel sales at the recent Snap/moniker auctions so no real surprise. The prices are low so may well attract interest.
