Please Help, What is the benefits of E or I infront of keyword domain?

I saw people try to get a letter E or I infront of keyword domain.

Example: Ebuy, Esupport, Ipoker, Itrip, ,,ect.

1. Can anyone explain me the benefit of this domain? and how how it will be worth if I own Elaw, or Ilaw, ect?

2. If we compare E & I which one will be the most in selling price? Is it E or I that is hot in market?

Thank for helping me clear it out.

You know what E/I is ?

(e -> electronic / i -> internet)

e-commerce
i-phone

some words go better with e, and if i'm right E is longer there (ebay.com)
i is well known through Apple (i-pod, i-phone etc.)

(someone can correct if i'm wrong)

These are mainly brandable domains - so, your buyer will often be an end user, looking to brand their product/service....Or, a reseller that thinks a name has good odds of someone wanting it.

The (very few) names that are 'just right' for something can be very valuable to the right buyer.

Here are some sales of 'i' domains:

iReport.com - $750,000 - Jan 2008 - (DNJournal)
iSearch.com - $300,000 - August 2008 - Pte Sale
iGuide.com - $100,000 - July 2009 - Afternic DLS (DNJournal)
iPets.com - $75,000 - June 2008 - Afternic
iPal.com - $59,000 - August 2009 - Sedo (DNJournal)
iBanks.com - $38,000 - April 2008 - Sedo

iLicense.com - $28,000 - March 2009 - Sedo
iUS.com - $25,000 - Jan 2009 - Aftermarket

As zoki said you E Stands For "Electronic"

And I for "Internet"

and X For "x-Factor"

i don`t think that you should have to make a sales camparison of E and I.

The benefit is that all the generic keywords are gone, and by putting an E or an I in front of strong keywords you can brand that domain, without having to pay for a generic which will run you tens of thousands of dollars, but many of the strong e and i keywords have jumped up in cost as well, but are a fraction of the generics, a good way to go without breaking the bank.

Child Abuse
Sometimes 'i' or 'e' fits well the keyword, sometimes it doesn't.

CanSpace is an unknown quantity at this point

This was a big fad during the dot-com era. Companies even went so far as to rename themselves from SomeCompany to eSomeCompany

That being said, if the domain you want is taken, edomain or idomain is probably the next best pickup.

eWhatever and iWhatever are socially accepted. Therefore, they have the new effect of tripling the size of the usable dictionary of domains.
