All the owner is doing is a 301 redirect to a Google page. The redirect is A LOT better then somebody trying to sell the domain, so at least the domain industry isn't getting yet another black eye from that domain, but Google doesn't own the domain and it's highly unlikely the owners are a "company" of Google.
