Is there 60-day transfer waiting period for expring domains won @ TDNAM?

Hello,

Does any one know if expiring domain names won from TDNAM auctions can be transferred out immediately or if there is a 60-day waiting period.

Thank you in advance.

GoDaddy has a 60 Day lock any time the whois information changes. This is a GoDaddy policy, and not ICANN policy.

Normal 60 Day lock only applies to

- New Regs
- Domains that have transferred registrars.

The 60 day lock triggers when anything of the Registrant Info changes. You can call GoDaddy and request them to unlock the domain for a transfer out.

Do yoiu think they will allow. I suppose they will ask to pay for the renewal first

Yes as part of buying a domain thru TDNAM you agree to pay for a one year renewal.

If you do get GoDaddy to agree to allow you to transfer out immediately,
the new Registrar will also charge you for a one year renewal BUT you will NOT get
one year added to your Expiration date.

Only one renewal is recognized in a 60 day period.

Thems the Rules.

I guess if you just renewed the domain or made any modification then you won't be able to transfer the domain name within the 60 days period.
