Wink To buy "Featured Listing", or not to buy? -- On Sedo

When do you decide it's best to invest on such a domain name?

I have a domain name that I really want to get featured, but am very hesitant about it.
I'm fairly new to this, and I'm battling with for which domain name should I get the featured listing for (as I have a few)?
The reason I'm hesitant is because I've never tried this before, and I don't know which of my domain names is going to have some interest.

So to those who are so used at this, does it convert at all times? & How long does it take for the domain name to get bids?

I am trying to make the smartest decision, which is why I ask so many questions.
I am confident with my domain names but confidence alone won't get it sold, so I'm really seeking advice here.

Hey Love*, I will tackle this one for you.

With Sedo, exposure is crucial - if your names are good enough and you have time Featured Listings might not be necessary. For me, I try to have 1 Featured Listing across all of my names, then I put the names of my other domains in the description, which is automatically linked to their listings. The domain I "feature" generally gets between 30 and 50 views a day, while the ones in the description get 10-15 a day. To me, it's all about exposure.

As far as conversion, it does not work all the time and patience is key. If you can't afford to let the $50 go, then don't do it. If you can afford it, it's a nice little gamble IMHO. Category Listings can also be great...and MUCH cheaper!

I am sure others will have some thoughts on this, too.

Thanks so much! That was very helpful and you have given me so much idea what it's like to have a domain feature-listed. I have added to your rep as I really appreciate your post!

I have decided not to get featured (I got scared LOL), but I probably will do the category listing (since it's only $9).
Thanks again!

No prob!! When it comes to categories, I generally try to showcase my across 2 or 3 categories as it is only $5 extra to add an extra category. Of course, only do this if it makes sense!

GOOD LUCK!
