Any domain that uses the 'app' extension is usually related to SAAS technology (Software as a Service) or telephony application (e.g. mobile app, ).

I would suggest not investing in any domain outside this field unless its some type of new product or highly valuable keyword phrase.

I wouldn't bother with them. Few programs have their own site dedicated to them. They are just put on the developer's site. And if they do warrant having their own domain, it's going to be the name of the program.
