EDomains.com at TDNAM - Will You Bid?

8 Days to go and the price is at $560 after 28 bids.

I think this one will get pretty high. I'll say $50,000.

It wont even come close to 50k. If I had to guess, Id say low x,xxx (perhaps 2-3k ish on the tops) atleast, thats my gut. This domain has little value aside from being a possible registrar or domain name related site. Dont get me wrong - if you offered it to me at $100 - I wouldnt hesitate to buy.

Maybe so. I put it at 50k because it's about the closest you're going to get to Domains.com besides iDomains.

I agree e doesn't technically make since but sounds good from a brandable point of view.

I agree with Spade on this one. I think it will close in the low - mid $X,XXX range.

I have seen far better eKeyword.com sell for less than that.

To us, we automatically think of "domain names" when we hear the word "domains", but it isn't like the prefix itself is nonsensical, since "domains" is a generic term in itself. "Electronic Domains" makes perfect sense, particularly if you're going after domain-name noob marketshare.

Desirable, yes. I'd much rather have iDomains.com (or better yet, the singular as opposed to the plural). Still, someone ought to make very good use of it.

LOL @ all the people a couple years back, during the peak of web2 DN mania, who insisted that long established e and i prefixes were "outdated" relics of internet past and that flizzo.com or boopie.com or zifkat.com- developed into a chair website- was somehow a better name than eChairs.com since it was more "creative".

eDomains.com makes for a decent "Brand Name". Nice domain for a reseller or even small registrar to brand around.

I see if going for $5,000 +

Thanks REECE

I see eDrop.com is over $4,800 as well. Not sure why so high and still nearly 8 days left in auction. Maybe "eye" Drops are becoming very expense or something...

Spending $4.8K or higher for a domain "drop" site is silly if you ask me but it's likely a couple domainers helping Bob buy another Camaro or add to his motorcycle collection of 15+ bikes he already has.

$10K+ with 4 minutes left. I hope whoever buys this is an end user with a plan for it.

EDIT: 12K Now. Bidder 16 and 17 going back and forth.

EDIT: 15K Now. The price is becoming irrational for this domain.

Sold for $16,511 I believe to Bidder 16. It was basically a 2 way bidding war most of the way up.

I don't know if I agree. I mean, if $15K'ish is irrational for eDomains.com, then the prices for all premium domains are irrational (which they may or may not be, I haven't formed an opinion about that just yet...). eDomains.com is definitely one of those 'back in the good old days' type names that seem to elicit so much excitement today. Pretty sure it was a 20th century reg.

I doubt anyone on this message board would pay 1/2 of the final price for that domain. There were basically two bidders who pushed it up from about 7K to 16K.

Unless you have development plans, that price is irrational as a reseller. What end user are you going to sell that domain to for more than $16,500? Development is the only road possible for a price like that.

great sale! I also think that it's an end-user type price. Anyways, it's a premium name for the one who would like to start a domain related venture or an EDomains marketing company.

Not irrational if bought by a company for future development but for personal investment or for me, I wouldn't pay that but spend this on a Mustang car.

Creating a brand isn't cheap and we all know having the right domain is needed with that brand! I have seen some VERY UGLY domain names sell for a lot more then $16,500.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=591418

Let's all keep in mind that this auction simply "ended" for $16.5K and is not considered sold yet. If the winning bidder doesn't pay, this domain could easily drop back down to around $7K when there was more then just the two bidders.
