OK, 2 things - Twitter.com/sex, Twitter.com/football - i saw people who selling that on auctions in Ebay... so what do you think about that?

Also what do you think about all the domains with the Twitter names in it ...like eTwitter.com that sold in Ebay for more then 500 dollar...

Ah okay, thanks for clarifying. I haven't read Twitter's terms of service, so I'm honestly not sure what my opinion is to be honest -- would depend on whether Twitter's okay with it or not.

I have a good keyword as a wordpress subdomain and it gets some type-in traffic, so I'd imagine some of these Twitter usernames do as well. Not to mention some of those usernames would be marketing gold -- how hard to you think it'd be to get men to follow you on Twitter if your username was Twitter.com/sex and you had a pretty woman for a picture.. Seriously

Twitter domains are doing QUITE well on ebay, not sure about the other outlets such as SEDO, TDnam, etc..

From my understanding it is against Twitter's TOS to "sell" a User ID.

As for the domains... Twitter is a registered trademark, so that's all I really have to say about that.

Twitter is well aware of all the sites using Twitter in the name or a variation like tweet,twit etc...

Techcrunch wrote a long article on TweetExchange which has become the place to list Twitter user names for sale. Tweexchange Is The Ultimate Twitter Name Marketplace
