manual locking and unlocking at registrar that dont have bulk EDIT is a headache when you have hundreds of names!

so i only lock some of my $$$$$ ones

eNom does not allow you to lock your .INFO and .BIZ domains.

For .COM and .NET, it seems to be a default setting for me at eNom I hope. I have too many names to check.

I've always locked all domains whenever the facility is available, which in more recent times seems to be the case with most registrars. Now that the new transfer changes have been introduced by icann i'd say it was imperative.

enom's locking is straightforward:

- go to a specific domain's control panel
- click on the link Set Auto-Renew/Registrar-Lock Options for Domain Names and Services; this is under "Utilities" near the bottom of the screen
- click or unclick the checkbox as appropriate
- save changes

Do it asap, man!

Or if you want to mass registar lock in enom...do the following..

1) Click "domain names" after logging in
2) click "global edit"
3) select "new! manual input"
4) select "registar lock"
5) select "all domains" or "list of domains" or "domains search"
6) you can then choose which one you DO NOT want to lock by clicking the domain and pressing "remove"

7) select "Do not allow this name to be transferred to another registrar."
8) confirm your new change

You're all set! This function will make it easier than locking tons of domains one-by-one. And yes, I do lock my domains unless I need to transfer them. Hope this helps.

It would be easier to steal. And that's the rule right now, that's why so many are saying that this could lead to problems in the near future, until ICANN changes the transfer rules again.

Higher chance of getting stolen I guess. But of course, if someone hack into your computer and transfer your domains, that's unavoidable as well.

They say other tlds are protected by a passcode.
