Well, the only way around this is an unethical one. You can break the contract with Sedo and inform them you will not honor the auction (and accept the NSI deal) or allow the auction to continue and accept the results.

There is no way to find out who made an offer via NSI (Network Solutions) until a deal is finalized. Its a bummer, but if the domain is at auction for much lower then the offer - I know quite a few domainers who would happily leave Sedo in the cold.

Maybe the buyer has seen the auction at Sedo, and dose not want to pay more. If thay have to slug it out, you might get more, but if your happy with the offer,

The current offer at Sedo is a bargain, offer received through MSI was made day later, don't think that the buyer seen the auction price at all.

Already did it, but I think buyer is unaware of my personal web site and domain portfolio.

Yes, If you break the contract they will more than likely close your account. Technically and legally you are obligated to sell the domain at the agreed price - however, I'm not aware of anyone ever purusing the bidders/sellers who dont follow through with their end of the deal on Sedo.

Thank you everyone, I decided to reject direct XXXX offer,
because I have contract with SEDO to sell the domain at the auction only.

So the highest bidder will get the domain name,
only 5 hours left until the end of auction!!!

Thanks!

Now you have to hope that the Sedo auction price gets paid.

Gladdy,

I'm sure it's painful in the short run, BUT...

You did the right thing; I would do business with someone like you.

You can't put a price on a good rep.

As I have said many times you only have one reputation. In the short term it might be painful, in the long term it is the right move.

Better hope it gets paid not. You get your domain back and can sell if for the better price... But I think that would be unusual...

Since he rejected the offer from NSI - he doenst know who made the offer to begin with. If the Sedo sale falls-thru, he will have to re-auction or wait for the buyer to contact him again.

I would of played the waiting game.... If the buyer doesn't pay via Sedo by 10 days after the auction ended, you as the seller hold the right to cancel the transaction.

If this did become the case, you would have option 2, the NSI offer to go back on. I'm sure the $19.95 offer the NSI buyer sent wouldn't "expire" and you could of accepted the NSI offer if the Sedo one fell through or counter offered.
