Domain is under Split Second review with Godaddys registrar

Does anyone know or have they experienced the split second review when registering a domain.

The domain in question dropped today and I was ready for it the second it showed available at enom after hundreds of refreshs, I was able to reg it, so i thot. I was sent a confirmation email from godaddy that the domain was mine but after waiting a few hours i called godaddy and tech support said that the domain in question was going to where they and all other companies get domains from for a split second review. It could take up to 72 hours for this to get resolved. I have checked whois.sc and it still shows enom as reg of record. Does anyone know of another whois service that might show more details?

showcase is an unknown quantity at this point

Hi,

This is an old story for me. I would love to have half of the domain names I have registered with godaddy, received confirmation, and then received a notice a day or two later that the registration failed. I think the problem is in godaddy's connection to the registry. I think they have periods when their system is down or something and it registers domains is shouldn't.

This has always happened to me with domains that are in pending delete and are dropping that same day.

My experience is that there is nothing you can do if you don't get the name. They sent me a T-shirt.

Best of luck to you.

Cheers,

Showcase

They have confirmed the registry accepted the registration of this one and another at the same time, but all indication to them is that the registry will review all registrants that tried to reg this domain under the split second review guidelines.

All was working

I've had the same senario as showcase with at least a dozen names.

ftech is on a distinguished road

Sometimes GD/WWD will show domains as available but in fact they are not. Seems like their checking app is very slow and if it looses connection it shows all domains as available.

Did anyone had any 'split second review' issue when domain was backordered at GD?
