WARNING! From personal experience. Last week Name.com was down and I wanted to reg 2 expired domains. I tried DomainCentral for the first (and last) time. I received email acknowledgement of my order including the credit card charges but when I checked the WhoIs, I saw that the domains were not registered. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/492150-anyone-used-domaincentral-com.html I then saw that their email says: "This is an order confirmation only, and does not confirm that the service has been provisioned. You will receive a separate notification shortly, confirming that your order has been completed." Luckily, Name.com was back up and I regged the domains there. However, I never received any follow up email letting me know they failed to register the domains and I just found out they did charge my credit card and did not automatically provide a refund. I was charged for a service not performed. Now I have to ask for a refund. Here is a copy of my chat with their Rep from a few minutes ago. I wanted to ask why my credit card wasn't automatically refunded once the service was not performed but the Rep had ended the chat. "Chat Information Please wait for a site operator to respond. Chat Information You are now chatting with 'Pravin' Pravin: Welcome to Domain Central Live Chat Service. How may I assist you today? Patrick: Domain central failed to register 2 domains I ordered. Patrick: I want to know if my credit card was charged. Patrick: Were any charges made to my credit card??? Pravin: Hello Patrick: Hello what? Pravin: Let me know the domainname Patrick: the domains do not matter. Was my credit card charged??? Pravin: The domainname shall be required in order to check the details Patrick: Sales Order No. 11-002951 Patrick: ProteinBlog.com Patrick: WhatBrain.com Pravin: Please allow me few minutes Patrick: Okay Pravin: Thanks for being so patient Pravin: I have checked the details for your account Pravin: Yes, the card has been charged. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=492150 Patrick: Well your company MUST immediately refund my credit card. You charged me for domains you did NOT register. Pravin: Patrick,in such circumstances, i would request you to place your request to the support section along with the necessary details. Patrick: I do not plan on using your company again as you do not register domain names in real time. Pravin: Your request will be processed as early as possible and we shall get back to you as early as possible Patrick: So what is the purpose of talking to you? Patrick: Why don't you tell the company the details and get me a refund? Pravin: Patrick, you simply need to place a request for the same.
