Registrar Question.. please advise

Are
NameCheap
and
eNom

one and the same registrar?

I ask, because I initiated a name transfer..
out of NetworkSolutions and into NameCheap registrar..

However, the email I rec'd from NetworkSolutions,
indicated that eNom is the registrar the name is being
transferr'd to..
vs.. NameCheap (which is the registrar I initiated the transfer through)
not.. enom..

Please advise..

Rikkers is an unknown quantity at this point
 
I believe Namecheap.com are an enom reseller - hence the transfer request comes from the registrar, not the reseller.

You guys are RIGHT..
I just rec'd an email back from support @ NameCheap..
and yes.. NameCheap is a division of enom..

I had no clue..

I have names with both enom and namecheap..
but BY far.. I favor NameCheap over enom.

They are not a division, enom does not own them. They just resell domain names for enom.
