Surely it didn't take over 2 years to register the 1st 100 dotcoms?

I'm amazed.. (even taking into account the different world we all lived in back then).
Makes .mobi look like a roaring success..... (sorry, couldn't resist ;-)

The LL.coms I guess. I most certainly would have regged p*rn.com, s*x.com and poker.com on 1-dec-1987 if I could turn back time!

I would take SUN and develop it as an information site about our nearest star.

Protect Our Planet
I would register all LL.com, would start a lucrative sub domain business just like CentralNIC.

Thinking of tv.com and endless possibilities of subdomains under tv.com....

I doubt in 1985 you would want to register all LL.com. You would think that who in the world would want AA.com or something.

Back in 1994, The World (as in world.std.com, the world's first dialup ISP) announced that they would accept domain registrations from their customers.

At last! Now I could get that killer domain name that I wanted.

DataBank.com! Rats! It's already been taken.

Nexus.net! Now I'll be the center of the network!

Drat! Someone got that too!

Darn. I'll have to go with my third choice. A pretty boring name, but it's all I can think of right now- Server.com.

True story.

Do you have the list of the .com names from 101 to, lets say... 1,000,000?

Or where can I get it?
