Good Idea? Bad Idea? For SnackCompany.com .

I own SnackCompany.com . Do you think it would be a good idea to sell sub domains to small snack companies?
(Example: Keebler.SnackComany.com) Or have any suggestions for me ? Thanks Dr.Pepper I know Keebler is not small.

Thanks to biggie for the idea about possibly selling sub domains.

Clever idea, but you would not get enough interest from companies to make it worth your while.

Most, if not all, food companies would prefer to get their own domain over using a subdomain on snackcompany.com. Reasons are simple, it's cheaper ($10), shorter (keebler.com vs. keebler.snackcompany.com, and they have total control over the name.

I do like the domain snackcompany.com, but don't think that's the best use for it. It sounds like an excellent name for a vending machine franchise. I would pursue leads in the vending industry to see if there's any interest.

To be honest, I wouldn't go with your idea (can't see it becoming profitable), and instead, try to sell the domain (for a reasonable amount) to TheSnackCompany. That might be more profitable, even in the long run.
