I think this auction bidding nonsense needs to stop, anyone in their right mind would let the reserve go at $500,000+ for pizza.net... Looks like the seller is bidding it up, or its reckless bidders, playing games, a real business person would not have a reserve on this domain closing in at $1MM... just greed mongers giving all domainers a black eye

I Agree. I don't think this domain will change hands. Seller was also foolish to list on TDNAM, of all the places to sell - several much better

Shenanigans, IMHO.

By the way, did the sale of Pizza.com complete (do we know who the Buyer is)?
Thanks.

Quite honestly... I don't expect this name to change hands. The price is absurd.

While I can understand not seeing the name being worth whatever its current price is, I do have to question your point of view. Why is it considered greed that someone has a specific price in mind for their property. Just like you have ideas in your mind of what you are willing to sell individual names for, this seller does as well. It seems far fetched to say a person's right to their price gives other sellers a black eye.

I am talking about your "blanket" statement at how a real businessman wouldn't have.......

Since when does someone's price requirements give other sellers a black eye? Such a point of view makes no sense in this industry.

If I were the owner of Pizza.com and had some cash laying around, of course I'd pick up the .net as well. Heck I'd buy all the pizza extensions.

I'm looking forward to Pizza.mobi sale. This will be a very interesting one, don't you think?.

I don't know about this one. However I think top domains are worth much more than what we are seeing. Take a sports star or entertainment star, they can easily make millions in one year. They make the money because of the free publicity they get for what ever they are selling. A top domain, .com, can make money year after year and increase in value while getting free publicity on the net and sometimes in other media sources. Its hard to say something isnt worth it. Anyway, brickovenpizza.com should be worth a lot. I would think its one of the most popular types of pizza that restaurants sell and want to separate themselves as something special. I picked up the .org brickovenpizza.org which I almost only own dot com's. I think the .com is worth much more than the .net or other extentions with pizza or most things. I would rather have some good ones with .com even with one or two words with pizza. pizza.com at a couple million may look very cheap in a few years. I can see top domains going for 10's of millions. 100 million dollar domain coming soon? Dont be surprised. Don't be jealous of those making the money, it wont likely be me or you but it will help all domains rise in value.
