Odd Request From Sedo

Here's a weird one. I sold a domain at Sedo. The buyer requested a contract. I printed it out, filled it out and faxed it over.

I wait and wait and wait because the status of the sale says the buyer has initiated transfer. I never get an email to accept it, and Sedo looks into the matter.

Long story short, they can't ever get in touch with the buyer. Sedo then tells me to push the domain to them and then they'd give me my money. (The buyer paid, but never completed the transfer.)

I do the push, they process the payment. This was completed and a done deal, IMO. The payment was processed last week. This morning I get an email from Sedo which says they never received my copy of the contract that I sent them, and could I please send it again?

I guess they need to have it because it was requested and has to be part of the sale. But I find it odd that it was not a problem previously. I gave them the domain and they paid me for it. They said they would help the buyer take over the domain, but I keep checking the whois (I'm curious to see what the new owner has planned for the domain) and it still belongs to Sedo.

On the contract I requested my money be deposited into my bank account. They paid me via Paypal, because they have that information on file for my parked domains. I now understand why, because not having the contract meant they didn't have my bank account information.

Sedo made $50 from my sale (which was 1/3 the total price). I spent another $4 to fax the contract, as requested by the buyer. They deposited funds into my Paypal account instead of my bank account, so Paypal took another $5 of my profit. If I fax this contract again, it will have cost me $63 to sell a .com for $100.

The transaction is completed. I no longer have this domain. What good does it to do send a contract on an already completed deal? I have nothing more to do with this domain. I think the sale was a big mess, but I did my part.

What would YOU do in this situation?

I would have done everything you did except I probably could have made a fax for free.

Sold it for $150. Sedo makes $50. Guess I wasn't very clear about that. When I said "sold it for $100" I meant AFTER Sedo's commission.

no way to sell domain under 300 $ or higher on SEDO unless to work to make them rich and you disappointed.

next sale put the price 100$ higher so you will go pair;-)

Try eFax.com... btw, i think selling domain @ SEDO for $99 is better than $140 (Parked Domains)
