I would dominate .name and swing for the long term grand-slam sleeper!

..and be known as the King of .names!

Several thousands on GTLD .name could land you some very fine keywords

..with this limited amount to spend, I'd favor this over .com prices

particularly as a long term domaining collectible investment..

..remember the money amount would go a long way in .name today for some outstanding keyword(s)

Kind Regards,

Yelo

I have never had .name
I saw a lot of good keywords that make money / sell high in their .com variant, but not sure if they will make money/sell high in their .name variant

kinda doubt the power of .name

.name is worse then .MOBI, .US, .EU, and .ASIA combined IMHO. At least all the others have some sort of "purpose". .name just sounds plain silly.

Agree with most of the above comments, .name is possibly the worst tld! Only decent names to own for that tld would be something like....

my.name
your.name
reg.name
re.name
domain.name

etc.

can't think of many tbh.

if you really don't want to wait 20 years to see any profits on your 100k investment, I would recommend steering clear of any extension that doesn't sell. This includes .ws, .cc, crappy ccTLDs, etc.

You must realize that liquidity is a huge consideration. A 100k spent on regging/buying in speculative markets means that 100k is unavailable to invest elsewhere - stocks, real estate, even a savings account. So unless you have several times 100k sitting around, stick to extensions that sell. .name is definitely not one of them
