I just got this email.. spam or scam?

It showed up in my Spam folder, but this kinda thing worries me that others might get suckered into something. BTW- the domain in question is at GoDaddy.

even though it is technically SPiced hAM ... it could be considered scam because ...


a. the text of the email is misleading ... it does not clearly state that the domain is with another registrar (and that it can be renewed there) ... it kind of tries to make a person think that he has to renew it with them ... a new domainer might be tricked , although the high price will trigger some defensive mechanisms ...


b. they ask $69.95 for a .com ... D-:

I have just received one. Very similar to a company which sent unsolicited snail mail to me with the same intentions.

They also use domainrenewal-online.com sending their emails.

All contacts point to Brussels, I'm guessing this is a postbox or something of the like however.

it reminds me of droa.com (domain registry of america). I recieved many letters from them asking me to renew my domains through them. Their letters quite good in quality actually :).

I sent an email to the company that hosts them to check into that issue.

their host has not done anything. where else could this be reported?

i just got my third email from them and it os again for a domain that is at godaddy. Have not receive any for the names that are with other registrars.
