These are technically not real domains, and inaccessible by the vast majority (as in 99%+) of web surfers. Not worth the trouble acquiring even if they were free (which they are not), imo.

I agree, don't see any value in them either for resell or just use.

These are (fake) domain names. Very many long threads with boring responses from company reps on these forums. Do a search

Most of them might have been bought by people who are new to the domain market. Their target is to attract customers who are not aware of new.net 's software download stuffs.

Frankly, I don't believe that quoted number. Current internet population is about 900million, so 175million means about 1 in 5 internet users. If you conduct a poll right now within namepros on who can access the site http://www.babyworld.shop (instead of its real url http://www.babyworld.shop.new.net ), I doubt if you can get even 2% (or 1 in 50). Why don't you start a poll to find out?

It seems that their bloated number was achieved in large part because the reuired plugin was surreptitiously installed like spyware together with some freeware, and with the growing awareness of spyware, their 'new.net-enabled' base can only decrease.

Please note that I'm not a new.net representative , the quoted number is actually from their website, where they make the specific statement.
To tell you the truth armstrong, I was interesting on those domains too just because i thought it would be nice to have a generic domain within a market of 175.000.000 internet users. But I haven't register any domain with them till now, don't ask me-I don't know why...

William9 is an unknown quantity at this point

In my opinion, if you take a survey of the professionals on this forum, the statistics may be that only one in 10,000 registered names ever sold! Maybe another one in a thousand gets adequate traffic. The other 9,998 dropped.

Sure some had better luck (4 in a 1,000) and others only wish to forget their poor acquisition of 100s..

The fact that they don’t resolve without a software plug-in in addition to only being a sub-domain is a killer.

Regardless, everyone will agree, the odds will only be getting worst.

Good luck.
